Description

Pool Operations Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of operating the pools including managing lifeguards and maintaining both pools and their spaces. This includes cleaning and maintaining the operating equipment for the Original Pool and the Competition Pool and their pool decks, as well as the chemical balancing of both pools. The Pool Operations Manager also manages all required inventory and supplies needed for the maintenance of both pools and decks, as well as managing and securing all necessary safety equipment.

The Pool Operations Manager is also responsible for ensuring that all lifeguards are trained, properly certified, and scheduled for their shifts.

Full Time Position

Hours to be determined but may include some nights and weekends.

Pay Range

$21.00 per hour based on experience.

Requirements
  • Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications are prerequisites for this position.
  • Certified Pool Operator or willing to train as one.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook & Word, or be willing to train.
  • Possess decision‑making skills.
  • Read, understand and explain WCC and Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and Northbridge Board of Health policies and procedures.
  • Ability to recognize and react calmly and effectively in hazardous/dangerous situations.
  • May be exposed to verbal outbursts, physical actions or bodily fluids as part of the environment.
  • Strong customer service, administrative and organizational skills.
  • Engage in active listening with members and guests to build relationships, understand individual’s goals and interests, and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.
  • Ability to be flexible and versatile.
  • Must be able to properly and consistently use personal protective equipment, including but not limited to the use of safety glasses.
