Senior Accounting Manager

We're seeking a Senior Accounting Manager for a Fortune 500 manufacturing client in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee daily operations, manage accounting processes, lead financial reporting, and ensure compliance for accounting related activities.

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the corporate accounting department.
• Lead the monthly-close process and all related consolidations ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Review balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, schedules and general ledger maintenance.
• Oversee reconciliation of intercompany transactions.
• Assist in integration of acquisition companies.
• Analyze various accounting issues and implement proper accounting methods in accordance with GAAP.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting required. 7+ years of experience preferred
• 3+ years of management experience required
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• SAP experience preferred

The salary range for this position is $ - $165,000 plus bonus. Bonus is dependent upon company and personal performance.
