This newly created Senior Accountant, Accounting Integration role is a high-impact opportunity to help bring newly acquired external businesses into UL Solutions’ accounting and reporting environment. In this role, you will partner with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, and external advisors to understand and merge transactions into accurate, repeatable accounting processes.

The ideal candidate combines strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting knowledge with operational accounting experience and thrives in a fast-paced environment managing multiple transactions and integration projects.

This is a full-time, hybrid (3 days on-site) position located at either our Northbrook, IL or Chicago, IL office.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA required, or actively pursuing CPA with significant progress completed.

EXPERIENCE Required4-6 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP.Advanced Excel skills, including complex models, data analysis, and the ability to turn data into useful insights.

Experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and technical accounting documentation.

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to keep work moving across multiple stakeholders and timelines.

Preferred Public accounting experience, preferably Big Four or national accounting firm.

Exposure to merger and acquisition integration projects or a strong interest in learning how accounting supports transactions.

Experience in a SOX-controlled environment.

Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other large ERP systems.

Knowledge of ASC 805 and related accounting.

Total Rewards:
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000- $105,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary.

This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday and personal days (totaling 12 days), and sick time off (72 hours).
