Perform alterations, resizing, and restyling on merchandise sold in the store. Support fitters with professional guidance on garment fit, alterability, and construction quality.
Responsibilities- Alter constructed garments to meet or exceed original construction quality standards.
- Perform garment alterations such as adjusting seams, shoulders, sleeves, collars, coats, linings, and pockets.
- Operate and maintain sewing equipment, and inspect completed work for quality.
- Complete assigned alteration tasks and follow written and verbal instructions from leaders.
- Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment is preferred.
- Experience with a variety of garment styles and fabrics is preferred.
- Ability to read English, understand instructions, and perform basic arithmetic.
