The Position

Our community bank client is seeking to fill two Personal Banker roles in Northbrook, IL. The successful candidate will develop new and existing client account relationships by educating prospects and clients about the bank’s personal and commercial banking products and understanding their needs.

The position offers a salary of up to $55K plus bonus and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough financial needs assessments to recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Generating leads and building new and maintaining existing customer relationships to ensure a great customer experience.
  • Performing all personal banking and teller procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of all bank products and services.
  • Managing relationships with business banking clients in designated segments or areas.
  • Making sales calls to consumers via phone or in person to meet sales goals.
  • Engaging actively in the sales process to achieve sales targets while adhering to credit quality and risk management guidelines.
  • Analyzing customer loan and deposit needs and recommending suitable bank products.
  • Presenting product solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Participating in community activities to expand network opportunities and educate potential customers about bank products and services.
  • Opening and closing the bank as needed.

Skills and experience include:

  • Associate Degree or higher.
  • At least two years of experience in a banking environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retail banking products, including demand deposits, savings, CDs, IRAs, online and mobile banking, and home equity lines of credit.
  • Ability to build positive relationships within the bank and demonstrate professionalism through integrity and strategic counsel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
