Medline Industries has an immediate opening for an experienced engineer to join our Platform Operations team. As a Senior Platform Operations Engineer, you will be a key player in our Dev Ops ecosystem, responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing our internal developer platform (IDP) and associated tools to empower development teams to deliver high‑quality software efficiently.

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize the performance and availability of assigned platforms.
• Implement and manage upgrades, patches, and configuration changes across platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service interruptions, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure platform alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Automate operational tasks and workflows using scripting and platform‑native tools.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices for all platforms.
• Manage user access, permissions, and integrations for supported platforms.
• Develop and maintain documentation for platform operations, procedures, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and incident response as required.
• Support audits and compliance activities related to platform operations.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to platform architecture and operational processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Track team goals and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Assist with project management and coordination of key initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in Platform Operations or Dev Ops managing large‑scale, enterprise‑grade environments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, and Dev Ops principles.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Power Shell).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience mentoring and training junior engineers, including code reviews and technical guidance.
• Proficiency in automation frameworks and infrastructure as code (IaC) at scale.
• Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex, multi‑platform issues.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Jenkins, Terraform, Git Lab) preferred but not required.

• 7+ years of experience in platform operations or Dev Ops managing large‑scale, enterprise‑grade environments.
• Deep expertise in platforms listed above (Artifactory, Git Lab, Terraform, Vault, Packer, Jenkins, Bit Bucket, Prisma Cloud, Sonar Qube, Webload, Katalon, Playwright, Selenium, UFT, AWX, Azure Dev Ops, OnBase, Outsystems).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Advanced security practices, compliance, and risk management skills.
• Advanced certifications in cloud, Dev Ops, or specific platforms (e.g., Certified Jenkins Engineer, Terraform Associate, Git Lab Certified).
