Robert Half is partnering with a well-established law firm located in the North Shore suburbs seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney to join its growing estate planning practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with foundational experience in estate planning and administration to work alongside experienced professionals on complex and meaningful matters. The role offers direct client interaction, mentorship, and long-term growth potential in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

+ Support estate and trust administration, including coordination of asset transfers and beneficiary communications

+ Advise clients on planning strategies tailored to family goals, tax considerations, and asset protection

+ Assist with the preparation of estate and gift tax filings

+ Draft customized estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney

+ Guide clients through probate and related court processes

+ Stay informed on legislative and regulatory developments impacting estate planning

+ Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategy discussions

Requirements

Qualifications

+ At least 1 year of experience in estate planning, probate, or trust administration

+ JD from an accredited law school and active Illinois law license

+ Strong writing and analytical skills, with attention to detail

+ Ability to manage multiple client matters and meet deadlines

+ Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal communication skills

+ A client-service mindset and interest in long-term career development in the trusts & estates field
