We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Executive to support the day-to-day management and growth of our Ulta, Shoppers Drug Mart and Grocery retail accounts. This role plays a critical part in driving retail sales, executing key account strategies, and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the business. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of retail fundamentals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses a collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
What you’ll do:Sales & Account Management:
Support the Account Lead in executing retail sales strategies to drive growth and achieve financial objectives across applicable retail accounts
Analyze POS data, dotcom performance, and promotional event sales to identify opportunities and optimize performance.
Coordinate and evaluate account-specific promotions, proposals, and co-op agreements to maximize ROI and support budget targets.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and providing actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
Assist with item setup processes, ensuring all SKUs are accurately onboarded and maintained across internal and retailer systems.
Manage online product pages including copy, digital assets, samples, and overall content compliance per retailer guidelines.
Support promotional execution by maintaining ad calendars, submitting promotional plans, and tracking effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Creative) to ensure flawless execution of account needs including planograms, display trackers, and in-store or online initiatives.
Organize and maintain calendars of key launch dates and ensure all assets are ready and routed for timely item launches.
Assist in the development of sell-in tools such as market meeting decks, presentation packs, and other retailer-facing materials.
Partner with internal forecasting and supply planning teams to ensure accurate demand planning and inventory alignment for both everyday and promotional business.
Track and communicate inventory risks, constraints, or shifts in demand to proactively resolve potential issues.
Handle ad hoc reporting requests from retailers and internal leadership, delivering accurate and timely information.
Submit, track, and troubleshoot vendor income submissions and disputes, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
Coordinate with third-party vendors for required assets (e.g., renderings, planograms) to support retail presentations and in-store execution.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum 2 years in account management with a mass retailer, Ulta experience a plus
Strong knowledge of Ulta systems/tools, or other retailer-specific tools a plus
Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Extensive analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and reporting dashboards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
