Role OverviewWe’re looking for a motivated Drain Technician with at least 6 months of hands‑on experience and basic rodding knowledge. Don’t worry if you’re still learning — we’ll teach you everything you need to know to build a long‑term plumbing career with us. As a Drain Technician, you’ll focus on diagnosing, unclogging, and repairing residential sewer and drain systems. You’ll be the first on‑site to solve urgent drain problems and play a key role in identifying opportunities to recommend further repairs or replacements, working closely with our team to provide complete solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to residential drain and sewer calls, locate blockages, and restore flow
- Use drain cleaning machines, sewer cameras, and other specialized equipment to diagnose issues (training provided)
- Accurately assess sewer line conditions and recommend appropriate solutions or further repairs
- Identify opportunities to convert service calls into leads (e.g. major sewer repairs or replacements)
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners about findings, options, and pricing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment on every job
- Document work performed and assist with preparing estimates for larger projects when needed
- At least 6 months of experience in plumbing or drain work, with basic rodding knowledge
- Willingness to learn advanced drain cleaning and diagnostic skills (training provided)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to operate and maintain basic drain cleaning equipment
- Good problem‑solving skills and a strong work ethic
- Strong communication and customer service skills — you know how to build trust with homeowners
- Physically fit and able to work in tight spaces, basements, and outdoors as needed
