Santa at Studio Portrait Event

Shaun Reilly Photography in Northfield, NJ is looking for an experienced, warm, and charismatic Santa for our annual Santa portrait event.

• Date: Sunday, November 29, 2026
• Hours: Approx. 6-8 hours
• Format: Families (and sometimes their dogs) will book 10-minute appointments to visit with Santa while our photographer captures portraits in a studio setting.

We need a Santa who can bring warmth, energy, and genuine joy to every single family that walks through the door all day long. Specifically, our Santa should have:

• Stamina
  : the ability to keep up an authentic, engaging presence and a great smile through a full day of back-to-back sessions
• A natural way with kids
  : patient, playful, and comfortable with everyone from newborns to older kids (and the occasional shy or nervous one)
• Comfort around dogs
  : some of our families bring their four-legged "kids"
• Camera awareness
  : the ability to take quick, subtle direction from the photographer (posing, angle, timing) without breaking the moment or interaction with the child
• A sharp memory for detail
  : many of our families return year after year, and we'll give Santa a brief note before each session (names, small details, etc). Santa needs to be able to quickly absorb that and use it to make returning families feel truly remembered.

Prior experience as a professional or theatrical Santa strongly preferred. Must own your own high-quality Santa suit and boots. A real, natural beard is strongly preferred.
