American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a Colorado or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.
Details- Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic for clinical documentation
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact license required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start
- ACLS, NRP, and/or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit or service
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department specialty required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including ongoing collection and assessment of health data
- Provide patient and family health teaching and counseling
- Deliver therapy and treatment directly to patients or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
- Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Former permanent staff must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
