Pay Range: $15.16 to $16.16 per hour

Job Summary

Our associates at Red, White, and Blue Thrift perform a range of tasks and processes essential to our retail operations. These positions require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. The roles are full‑time, and medical benefits become available after 90 days of employment. Brief descriptions of our positions can be found below.

Facilities Associates

Unloading and loading trailers, operating a trash compactor, operating a baling machine, and janitorial duties. The Facilities Associate position is labor intensive.

Production Associates

Pre‑sorting donations, sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging, attaching sensors, and distributing merchandise to the floor.

Sales Floor Associates

Cashier, Sales Floor, and Donation Center Attendant.

Other Positions

Box Truck Driver, Dispatcher, and Supervisor.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, back‑of‑house, or customer‑facing experience is preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely perform job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity requirements.
  • Physical strength: lift and carry up to 40-70 lbs occasionally, exert up to 25 lbs frequently.
  • Endurance: stand for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity: perform repetitive motions with fingers.
  • Fine motor skills: tasks involving seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s).
  • Balance and agility: maintain body equilibrium on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Visual acuity: clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
  • Environment: dynamic, busy atmosphere; thrive in fast‑paced work.
  • Noise level: work effectively in noisy environment.
  • Lighting: work effectively in bright environment.
  • Interactions with others: regular interaction with customers, donors, coworkers; effective communication required.
  • Flexibility: high degree of flexibility; may switch tasks or departments based on operational needs; work in all areas as assigned.
Language Requirements
  • While not required to communicate exclusively in English, the role often involves customers, donors, colleagues, and supervisors who primarily use English. Fundamental understanding of written and spoken English may be necessary.
