Accounts Payable Clerk – SIG Group

Join our team as an Accounts Payable Clerk in Northlake, IL. This hybrid role will handle day‑to‑day AP activities while maintaining compliance with global and local accounting policies.

$45,000 – $55,000 per year, plus performance incentives.

• Review and verify invoices and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Verify that receivers, purchase orders, and invoices match in quantity and price.
• Send reports and work with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure all discounts are captured timely.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies quickly.
• Monitor shared AP inbox.
• Review goods receipts reports to identify missing invoices or receiving issues.
• Respond to vendor inquiries promptly.
• Organize digital invoice and support files for our digital document imaging system.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Perform backup support, other clerical tasks, and ad‑hoc reporting as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or relevant coursework in accounting or finance preferred.
• Minimum of one year of related experience or formal training.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Quick Books).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
• Familiarity with three‑way matching (invoice, purchase order, and receiving documentation).
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
