Data Center Technician
Base pay range
: $27.00/hr - $32.00/hr
Shift: Night Shift B – 12-hour shifts (Thursday–Saturday)
Employment type: 6 month Contract to Hire
Responsibilities- Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of hardware (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) following detailed instructions, checklists, and standard protocols.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to quickly identify issues and replace faulty components.
- Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) with minimal guidance.
- Communicate, report, and expedite incidents according to established procedures.
- 1–2 years of experience in Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or IT hardware roles.
- Strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
- Reliable, committed, and proactive “go-getter” attitude.
- Ability to work night shifts (12‑hour schedule as listed above).
- Previous experience in a data center environment.
