Travel RN - Rehab - In Patient

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehab night shift position in Northport, AL, requiring 2 years of RN experience and a valid AL or Compact RN license.

Job Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting,

• Patients include stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary diagnoses working toward improved functional ability and independence,

• Providers round daily and patients receive 24-hour medical supervision by physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants,

• Rehabilitation equipment includes body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision machines, and simulation vehicles,

• EMR system is Meditech (experience preferred but not required),

• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM,

• Every other weekend required,

• Floating to other units and hospitals required,

• Holiday coverage required on a rotating every-other-holiday basis,

Job Requirements

• Active AL state or Compact RN license required - no pending or temporary licenses accepted,

• No current or past hits on license allowed,

• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted),

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of recent experience in inpatient rehab or related specialty,

• NURSYS license verification required,

• Current driver's license required for consideration,

• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration,

• Full SSN required for consideration,

• Works as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team supporting patient recovery and independence,

• Virtual orientation is provided; competency-based modules are completed during orientation - no Health Stream modules required prior to start,

• Timekeeping is managed through Centricity,

• Solid navy scrubs required,

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restrictions,

• 13-week contract
