Travel RN - Rehab - In Patient

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehab position at a hospital-based rehabilitation unit in Northport, AL, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience with 1 year of recent rehab specialty experience.

Job Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting,

• Patient population includes stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary patients working toward improved functional and independent function,

• Patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring with daily provider rounding by physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants,

• Therapy equipment on unit includes body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision machine, and a simulation vehicle,

• Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM,

• 36 or 48 hours per week available,

• Every other weekend required,

• Floating to other units and hospital locations is required,

• EMR:
Meditech (experience not required),

Job Requirements

• Active Alabama RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand - no pending or temporary licenses accepted,

• No hits (past or current) on nursing license,

• NURSYS license verification required,

• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (18 months may be considered), with at least 1 year of recent inpatient rehab specialty experience,

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required,

• Current driver's license required for consideration,

• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide 24-hour nursing care and medical monitoring to rehabilitation patients as part of a multidisciplinary team,

• Holiday coverage required on a rotating every-other-holiday basis,

• No pre-start Health Stream modules required - competency-based modules are completed during virtual orientation,

• Solid navy scrubs required,
