Travel RN - Rehab - In Patient

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a hospital-based rehabilitation unit in Northport, AL, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience.

Job Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital-based Rehabilitation Pavilion,

• Patient population includes stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary patients working toward improved functional ability and independence,

• All patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring; providers round daily,

• Therapy equipment on unit includes body weight support systems, treadmills, a Dynavision machine, and a simulation vehicle,

• EMR:
Meditech (experience not required),

• Midnight shift: 12:00 PM - 7:00 AM,

• 36 or 48 hours per week,

• Every other weekend required,

• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis,

• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system,

Job Requirements

• Active AL state RN license or compact RN license required - no pending or temporary licenses accepted,

• No hits (past or current) on nursing license allowed,

• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required,

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required at minimum,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of recent inpatient rehab experience; candidates with 18 months of total experience working under the highest level of professional license may be considered,

• NURSYS license verification required for consideration,

• Current driver's license required for consideration,

• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration,

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary rehab team alongside physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants,

• Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules; no pre-start Health Stream modules required,

• Timekeeping system:
Centricity,

• Solid navy scrubs required,

• Parking is available on site,
