We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will administer and monitor patient responses to medications, guide patient care, and oversee the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards within hospital policy. The RN will also ensure the highest quality customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer and monitor patient responses to medications.
- Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel.
- Maintain relevant, accurate, and current patient records.
- Provide documentation of patient assessments throughout hospital admission, including physical, psychological, social dimensions, and discharge plans.
- Summarize assessment data and initiate plans of care, communicating pertinent data to allied patient care providers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the role of charge nurse.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Computerized Nursing Informatics (information systems).
- Serve as a resource person regarding patient care, orientation, and teaching staff.
- Participate in at least four-unit staff meetings per year, attend mandatory programs, and obtain three hours of Patient Care Assessment Committee (PCAC) credit per year.
- Participate in identifying aspects of care for the patient, indicators used to monitor the quality and appropriateness of care, and the evaluation of that care.
- Adhere to safety, blood/body fluid policies, and procedures.
- Assess personal learning development needs and maintain documentation of ongoing professional development activities.
- Regularly update knowledge of techniques and regulations appropriate to the age of the patient served.
- Show willingness to participate in Nursing Committees.
- Represent the hospital in the community and within the hospital by maintaining confidentiality regarding patients and hospital matters.
- Perform other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested by the immediate supervisor.
- Consistently provide service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers in a manner that reflects the hospital’s commitment to compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and service.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse.
