Registered Nurse (RN) – Staff Development Coordinator

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Hunter Creek Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and organized Registered Nurse (RN) Staff Development Coordinator to join our nursing leadership team.

This position plays an important role in staff development, caregiver scheduling, orientation, and clinical education
, helping ensure our nursing team is trained, supported, and appropriately scheduled to meet resident care needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain caregiver schedules to support appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding for newly hired nursing staff.
  • Provide clinical education and training for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other direct-care staff.
  • Conduct skills validations and competency assessments.
  • Coordinate required in-services, annual education, and regulatory training.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling, training, certification, and competency records.
  • Coach and mentor nursing staff while supporting survey readiness, infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
  • Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing – REQUIRED.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Previous nursing experience required.
  • Staff development, nursing education, clinical training, scheduling, or nursing leadership experience preferred.
  • Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, teaching, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage changing staffing needs and priorities effectively.
