Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local Walmart store, you will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities refrigeration HVAC equipment team, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand, digital, and power tools to complete jobs.
Job Duties- Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
- Provide a prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
- 10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
- Option 2: 8 years’ experience and an AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
- Universal EPA certification.
- Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s of applied science in A/C and refrigeration.
- Excellent driving record.
- Previous work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
- Individual compensation packages based on factors such as skill set, experience, job offer level, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
