Staff Accountant | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and inventory.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as variance analysis and cost reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books)
- Experience with inventory costing and analysis in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with an ERP system beyond basic data entry (e.g., system configuration, report building, or module integration).
- Exposure to cost accounting principles in a manufacturing environment (e.g., variance analysis, standard costing).
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for financial reporting and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement automated solutions (e.g., advanced Excel macros, basic scripting).
