Supplier Quality Engineer | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $83,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Norton Shores that are seeking skilled Supplier Quality Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define supplier quality requirements for new product development.
- Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
- Experience with supplier auditing and qualification processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T).
- Experience with advanced quality planning (AQP) tools like APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
- Strong data analysis skills using statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process improvement.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
