Manufacturing Engineer | Norton Shores, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Norton Shores that are seeking Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Implement and maintain production equipment, tooling, and fixtures to ensure operational efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing defects and process deviations.
• Develop and execute process validation protocols to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to improve manufacturability and reduce costs.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor and improve process performance.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and engineering specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, with demonstrated experience in applying these principles.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, automation, and quality control.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
