Electrical Engineer | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $75,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Designs and implements electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves electrical issues in production machinery and infrastructure.
- Develops and maintains electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate new equipment and optimize existing processes.
- Ensures compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E).
- Manages electrical projects from conception through commissioning, including budget and schedule.
- Selects and specifies electrical components, sensors, and actuators for manufacturing applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Solid Works Electrical) for schematic design and panel layout.
- Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Experience with power distribution systems, motor control, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA).
- Experience with robotics or automated systems.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- PLC programming experience (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ether Net/IP, PROFINET).
