Mechanical Engineer

We are partnering with a growing manufacturer looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to help develop innovative products used in industrial automation, robotics, and machine vision applications.
This is onsite in Norton Shores, Michigan.

This isn't a CAD drafting role, it's a hands-on product development position where you'll own designs from concept through production.

• Design mechanical enclosures, housings, brackets, and mounting systems
• Develop products using Solid Works
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Build and validate prototypes
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing throughout product development
• Improve designs for manufacturability, reliability, and performance

• 5-7+ years of mechanical product design experience
• Experience with sheet metal, injection molding, machining, or other manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of tolerance stack-ups, thermal considerations, and sealed enclosure design
• Experience taking products from concept through production
• Creative engineer who enjoys solving unique design challenges

• Own products from concept through production
