Part - time hourly

Support residents in daily living, while not providing hands‑on assistance. Serves as an assistant for resident services staff. Assuring that the resident is treated with dignity and respect, assisting each resident to be as independent and self‑sufficient as possible. Does NOT provide anydirect, hands on care to residents.
Responsibilities- Be a goodwill ambassador of this living center
- Comply with Life Safety policies and periodic “drills”
- Participate in educational and training opportunities
- Report safety and health hazards to the supervisor
- Report any observed concerns or changes in a resident to the Shift Supervisor
- Work cooperatively with co-workers, supervisors and other personnel associated with this living center
- Report to work as scheduled
- Treat all residents with dignity and respect
- Comply with infection control protocols
- Compliance with all Resident Rights including HIPAA
- Compliance with all rules and regulations governing care of residents in a Home for the Aged
- Compliance with guidelines stated in the Employee Handbook

Typically, a minimum of 16 years of age is needed. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position both physically and mentally. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to pass the State mandated criminal background screening and random drug testing.
Job Responsibilities- Deliveries to residents including:
Fresh ice water, towels, newspaper, daily mail, packages, etc. - Provides escort to and from meals and activities – propelling wheelchairs, walking alongside. Does not provide physical support or assistance.
- Assist with meal service: opening packets, pouring beverages, setting and clearing tables, delivery and pick‑up of room trays, etc.
- One on one visitation with residents as directed to ease loneliness or anxiety
- Light housekeeping chores including bed making, linen changes, straightening and dusting, emptying waste baskets, pick‑up and delivery of laundry, etc.
