TheOpportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Norton Shores seeking Press Operator / Setups who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor manufacturing press machines.
- Perform setup and changeover procedures for various production runs.
- Conduct quality checks and make adjustments to ensure product specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions and production issues.
- Load and unload materials and finished products from the press.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Proven ability to set up, adjust, and operate various printing presses (e.g., flexographic, offset).
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting job specifications, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a history of performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting press issues.
- Experience with quality control procedures, including inspecting printed materials for defects and ensuring color accuracy.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and machine interface.
- Demonstrated ability to perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., lubrication, cleaning).
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.
- Prior experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
