Norton Correctional Facility is a prison comprised of minimum, low, and medium incarcerated residents. Norton Correctional Facility is split into two different physical locations, Norton, KS housing Central Unit and Stockton, KS housing East Unit. Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Administrative Specialist is responsible for maintaining the inmate payroll system for the Norton Correctional Facility. Calculates inmate pay including those inmates assigned to hourly wage jobs. Formulates changes from the Offender Activities Report and codes them into Athena payroll records on a daily basis. Calculates and processes closeout pay sheets on inmates transferred or released from the facility. Verifies and formulates responses to payroll information requests on Form 9's from the inmate population.
This position also assists with sorting, scanning, indexing, and imaging documents contained in Active and Inactive Inmate Records.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
