Wheaton College, an NCAA institution located in Norton,Massachusetts, is looking for a motivated, energetic, passionate,and caring individual to lead our highly competitive men’s lacrosseprogram. The Head Coach prepares the team for a fullintercollegiate varsity season. Develop a recruiting plan and evaluate and identify qualified student-athletes. Prepare andmanage operating, recruiting, and fundraising budgets. Commitment to working and teaching within an environment that embraces the holistic development of the student-athlete.
Serve in an administrative capacity and have a secondary duty as directed bythe Athletic Administration. Comply with all NCAA Division III,NEWMAC and Wheaton College rules and regulations.
- Organize and conduct team practices to prepare the team for competition. Travel locally, regionally, and nationally for anyregular or post-season events.
- Develop and execute a recruiting plan for prospectivestudent-athletes.
- Serve in an administrative capacity as needed, including butnot limited to game management and a secondary duty.
- Oversee the student‑athlete’s academic progress and be available for consultation and support for overall student‐athletewell‑being.
- Create and implement a plan of engagement and communication with alumni and fundraising initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2-4 years ofcollegiate coaching experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work evenings and weekends throughout the year to accomplish the tasks necessary for success in this field
- Commitment to working and teaching within an environment that embraces the overall development of students around their education.
- Master’s degree
- 3-5 years of head coaching experience preferred

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitmentranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level andscope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must havethe prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.
The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for this position is $55-$62K.
