Lead Diesel Mechanic

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Lead Diesel Mechanic who will under limited supervision, repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing fleet vehicles and equipment. The role involves reading and interpreting vehicle condition reports and repair orders, communicating with supervisors and equipment operators for clarification of maintenance needs, completing paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times.

The mechanic must maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards, train and develop junior technicians, and perform other job-related duties as assigned. The position requires maintaining a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.

Experience, Education, Certification:
Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 6 years of related equipment maintenance and repair. Valid driver license.

Physical Requirements:

Handle tools, equipment, fine motor skills; reach with hands and arms; climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet; occasionally must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
