Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Norton, MA. The Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company trucks to deliver ice cream and frozen food products to retail and food service locations on scheduled routes. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading products, verifying delivery accuracy, completing delivery paperwork, and maintaining product quality during transport. The role involves following all DOT regulations, adhering to company safety policies, and performing basic vehicle inspections.
The Truck Driver also interacts with customers in a professional manner, helps resolve delivery issues, and supports the distribution team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license and strong truck driving skills, including safe operation of commercial trucks.
- Experience with loading and unloading products, preferably in a distribution or food service environment.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements for commercial drivers.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Good communication and customer service skills for interacting with delivery locations.
- Strong time management, reliability, and ability to work early mornings or flexible hours as needed.
- Ability to lift and move products and work in refrigerated environments as required.
- Clean driving record; prior experience in route delivery or food distribution is a plus.
