CNC HBM Machinist

Wagner Machine Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong job shop experience to operate a 5" Horizontal Boring Mill. This is not a production-line position - it's a hands-on, precision machining role where every day brings something different.

About the Role:
You'll be responsible for setting up, programming adjustments, and machining precision components - from one-off prototypes to short-run batches. You'll work directly from blueprints, fixtures, and job travelers to produce accurate, tight-tolerance parts for a wide variety of industries.

What You'll Do:

• Set up and operate a 5" CNC Horizontal Boring Mill.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Perform your own setups, tooling adjustments, and inspections.
• Machine custom parts and short-run jobs (1-20 pcs typical).
• Work independently while maintaining top quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to solve problems.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of job shop machining experience.
• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling.
• Ability to run complex setups and troubleshoot issues.
• Comfortable with one-off and short-run work - not production.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and proud of your craftsmanship.
