Automotive Service Technician
McKenna Porsche is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician. Technician job duties include performing automotive services and repairs on automobiles, performing maintenance and repairs on automobiles, responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembling parts, components and engines, performing all duties according to safety procedures. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
Requirements (include but are not limited to): 1 or more years of previous experience in Automotive Service Technician role, proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: E-Mail, Excel and Word, ADP Dealer Services Experience a plus, ability to work independently and be self-motivated, confidence in your ability to be successful, outstanding communication skills in both verbal and written, a desire to work in a commission, performance-based, environment, great attitude with high-energy personality, excellent customer service skills, professional appearance and work ethic, timely follow-up, ability to work well in a process-driven environment, high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record.
Physical and work demands include moving about the dealership, using hand/power tools and equipment consistent with industry standards, standing six to eight hours in a shift, bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing, utilizing, physical and manual dexterity, lifting up to 50 lbs., moving vehicles, noise, vibration, paint, dust, exhaust fumes, other hazardous and non-hazardous materials, extreme hot and/or cold.
