CAD Drafter

Visions Staffing Solutions has partnered with one of the nation’s leading independent warehouse storage solutions companies to find an experienced CAD Drafter to join their engineering team in Norwalk, CA. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a premier industry leader that operates multiple locations across several states, specializing in providing innovative and cost-effective industrial storage solutions.

The CAD Drafter is responsible for creating conceptual and installation drawings for clients. This position reports directly to the CAD Supervisor and the Senior Director of Operations and Sales.

• Create and alter conceptual and installation drawings in a timely manner.

• Apply company standards to all technical drawings.

• Collaborate with project managers, salespersons, clients, and contractors to establish project requirements.

• Coordinate plan status with the CAD Supervisor to obtain drawing approval.

• Change and update designs as requested by clients.

• Identify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient design.

• Effectively communicate project status to management.

• Perform material counts on plans.

• Travel to job sites to take building and as-built measurements.

• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

• Education: Associate's degree in a related discipline (Drafting, Architecture, etc.) preferred.

• Experience: 2+ years of AutoCAD experience required.

  Strong computer skills with a deep understanding of CAD standards, project setup, and design execution.

• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, high attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to multitask independently.

• Attributes: Analytical, creative, out-of-the-box problem solver with a positive attitude.

• Travel: Occasional travel required for site measurements.

• Plusses: Familiarity with racking systems or warehousing materials is a major plus.

• Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

• Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.

• Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.

• Work Location: Norwalk, CA (In-person)
