Job Description

JOB DUTIES:

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Deliver product by car to customer door, including flyers and door hangers.
• Drive company products within a designated delivery area.

TRAINING: Orientation and training provided on the job.

COMMUNICATION

SKILLS:

• Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS /

SKILLS:

• Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately and quickly.
• Make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, written, and telephone skills for order processing.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Standing:
  Most tasks performed from a standing position.
• Walking:
  Short distances for short durations; walking surfaces include ceramic tile and linoleum.
• Sitting:
  Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting:
  Bulk product deliveries (up to 60 pounds, dimensions up to 3' x 1.5') using hand truck.
• Carrying:
  Light items such as cans (∼3 lbs) and heavier items such as pizza sauce (30 lbs) or dough trays (12 lbs).
• Pushing/Pulling:
  Move trays on dollies (~24–30” stack, ~7.5 lbs push).
• Climbing:
  Occasionally navigate stairs or ladder for maintenance or signage.
• Stoop/Bend:
  Forward bending and stooping at assembly stations.
• Squat/Crouch:
  Perform occasionally when stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.
• Reaching:
  Continuous reach up, down, and forward; above 72” occasionally.
• Hand tasks:
  Frequent eye‑hand coordination; use of pizza peel, cutter, rolling cutter, and cardboard boxes.

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather when delivering, driving, or performing outdoor tasks.
• In‑store temperatures range from 36°F (cooler) to 90°F+ (work areas).
• Sudden temperature changes, fumes from food odors, commercial dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools (ovens up to 500°F+).
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

ESSENTIAL

SKILLS:

• Basic mathematics and cash handling.
• Customer service and order processing.
• Computer and touch‑screen proficiency.
• Navigational skills: read maps, locate addresses within designated delivery area, navigate multi‑story buildings, private homes, and adverse terrain.
