Assistant Controller | Global Investment Firm

The successful candidate will own key accounting functions across a diverse range of complex strategies and financial instruments, gain broad exposure across the platform, work directly with senior stakeholders, and help shape how the firm's accounting capability evolves as it scales.

What you'll do

• Own complex fund reporting across sophisticated systematic strategies
• Lead relationships with auditors and external providers, maintaining rigorous standards and challenging outputs
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS
• Overseeing daily trade operations, product control, and reconciliations
• Drive accounting process improvements, strengthening controls, automating workflows, and reducing manual processes
• Support the firm's technology transformation, including platform migrations and implementation of AI-assisted workflows
• Work directly with senior management on ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives tied to platform growth

Who this suits

• CPA with 8+ years of experience in fund accounting
• Proven experience leading audits, managing external advisors, and maintaining rigorous controls
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex technical issues for non-accounting stakeholders
• Commercially minded and passionate about understanding how sophisticated operations work
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated by building best-in-class processes
• Experience with platform migrations or accounting system transitions a plus
