Associate - Request for Proposal (“RFP”) Team
Summary:This position is an associate on our RFP team responsible for assisting with the responses to RFPs,DDQs and surveys. Key duties include writing responses, updating and maintaining the RFP database and assisting with other related projects. The ideal candidate should excel in technology, writing and editing, and demonstrate attention to detail and be able to meet tight deadlines. Strong knowledge of financial markets and institutional asset management is a plus.
This position will work collaboratively within the RFP team and across our Outsourced Chief Investment Office (“OCIO”) business including investment research, investment advisory, business development, relationship management, operations and other groups to ensure content is accurate, complete and up to date. The ideal candidate will be proactive in managing multiple tasks and flexible to handle a broad range of responsibilities in a fast-paced organization.
This position can be based in either our New York City or Norwalk, CT office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the process of producing accurate, well-written and properly formatted RFP responses, manager due diligence questionnaires and other data requests to ensure final response is appropriately formatted and submitted to the institution on time.
- Maintenance and administration of the RFP database and associated data in CRM (Salesforce) to ensure content is both accurate and current.
- Proactively leverage technology in RFP and DDQ production.
- Develop and update RFP content for future use.
- Work with OCIO colleagues and subject matter experts (Business Development, Relationship Management, Operations, Advisory and Research Teams) to obtain information needed to respond to RFPs.
- Assist with other RFP tasks as needed during high volume times/overflow support.
- Complete ad hoc projects to support business development and management team as requested.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years’ experience in asset management RFP writing, business writing or consultant databases. We are willing to train the right candidate who is interested in this role.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
- Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent writing and editing skills required.
- Strong data analysis skills are beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple concurrent assignments independently and on a timely basis.
- Strong work ethic and flexibility to meet deadlines outside normal working hours.
- Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish broader goals and objectives.
- Ability to learn our systems including Rocket Docs (or other RFP Databases)
Salesforce, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams). Prior experience/proficiency with Rocket Docs or other similar databases a plus. - Return to work candidates encouraged to apply.
