Overview
SVP, Embedded Banking Partnerships is responsible for leading the development and commercialization of the bank’s Embedded Banking ecosystem. This role will identify and secure strategic partnerships with vertical software providers (VSPs), design differentiated embedded banking solutions, and drive revenue growth through successful client activation. The role operates at the intersection of partnerships, product strategy, and revenue generation, requiring strong external market engagement and internal cross‑functional leadership.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Strategy & Market Development
- Define and execute the Embedded Banking partnership strategy aligned with enterprise priorities
- Identify and prioritize target vertical software providers (VSPs) across key industry segments
- Develop go‑to‑market strategies and value propositions by vertical
- Success Metrics
- Number of VSP partnerships signed and integrated
- Strength and conversion of partnership pipeline
- Revenue generated from embedded banking solutions
- Client activation and adoption rates
- Progress against strategic vertical penetration
- Partner With Internal Teams for Client Activation & Revenue Growth
- Partner with internal teams to support onboarding and activation of client’s post‑integration
- Drive adoption and utilization of embedded banking solutions
- Monitor partnership performance and optimize for revenue growth
- Act as a key liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders
- Product Strategy & Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Work with product and technology teams to translate partner and client needs into product requirements and business use cases
- Solution Design
- Co‑develop embedded banking solutions with VSPs that deliver value for the bank, partner, and end clients
- Define commercial models, pricing structures, and partnership frameworks
- Ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with platform capabilities
- Partnership Development & Execution
- Build and manage a pipeline of VSP partnership opportunities
- Lead end‑to‑end partnership lifecycle, including sourcing, negotiation, and contracting
- Establish and maintain executive‑level relationships with strategic partners
- 12+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, embedded finance, or platform partnerships
- Proven track record of building and scaling strategic partnerships or ecosystems
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy and roadmaps
Education and Experience
- Experience working with vertical software providers (VSPs) / ISVs
- Knowledge of embedded banking / Banking‑as‑a‑Service models
- Strong strategic thinking and execution capability
- Executive presence with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally across product, technology, legal, and business teams
- Results‑oriented with strong commercial and analytical acumen
- Leadership:
Drives enterprise growth through innovation and partnership development, builds and maintains high‑impact external relationships, influences cross‑functional teams without direct authority, operates with accountability for measurable business outcomes
