We are growing — and we're looking for a Vendor Relations Manager (VRM) to join our headquarters in Norwalk, CT. Serving as the primary point of contact for vendors in your assigned geographic territory
Building relationships with vendor leadership, decision-makers, and operations teams
Leveraging knowledge of vendor services, specialties, and pricing to match the right vendor to each client
Proactively assessing and addressing vendor needs while developing actionable improvement plans
Conducting quarterly business reviews and KPI discussions to drive engagement
Maintaining accurate vendor and contact data in Salesforce, documenting all interactions in real time
Collaborating across departments including operations, compliance, quality assurance, corporate development, sales, and strategic accounts
Sharing best practices with fellow VRMs to ensure consistency across vendor portfolios
Representing Protos with professionalism, integrity, and compliance at all times
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Account management or vendor relationship experience preferred
2+ years managing a book of business in a service environment, procurement, or sales (security industry experience a plus)
Analytical, metrics-driven mindset with the ability to see the big picture
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address challenges quickly
Excellent listening, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
Proven customer service focus for both internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and CRM systems — Salesforce expertise preferred
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Willingness to travel up to 15% and support all U.S. time zones
Reside within commuting distance of Norwalk, CT (relocation not provided)
