Construction Superintendent

A nationally recognized ENR Top 50 heavy civil contractor is seeking a Civil Superintendent to oversee major bridge infrastructure projects throughout New Haven and Central Connecticut, with project values ranging from $30M to $200M.

This role will lead field operations on large-scale bridge and heavy civil projects, overseeing daily site activities, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality, schedule execution, and communication between field and project management teams.

• Lead daily field operations on major bridge and heavy civil projects
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and project logistics
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance in the field
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and field leadership to execute project plans
• Oversee construction activities in active roadway, bridge, rail, and public infrastructure environments
• Manage look-ahead schedules, manpower planning, inspections, and field reporting
• Support client, agency, and stakeholder coordination throughout project execution

• Superintendent experience in heavy civil, bridge, transportation, highway, or infrastructure construction
• CDOT, DOT, bridge, rail, or public infrastructure experience preferred
• Strong field leadership, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and safety management skills
• Experience leading self-perform crews and managing complex field operations
• Ability to oversee work in active, high-impact infrastructure environments
