Surveyor – Heavy Civil Construction
We are working with a nationally recognized heavy civil contractor to add an experienced Surveyor to support large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and site development work.
Key Responsibilities- Perform field layout and as-builts for active construction projects
- Operate survey equipment including GPS, Total Stations, and levels
- Complete site setup activities (calibration, control checks, level runs)
- Execute layout calculations (station/offset, grading, distances)
- Maintain accurate field notes and documentation
- Coordinate directly with Project Managers and Superintendents
- Transfer and manage survey data between field and office
- Utilize Trimble equipment and software for layout and machine control
- 7–10+ years of construction survey experience
- Strong knowledge of GPS and survey software (SCS
900, Trimble Access, etc.) - Experience working independently in field environments
- Basic CAD experience (Civil 3D, Carlson, Micro Station, etc.)
- Valid driver's license
