A growing facilities and construction services organization is seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager to support mechanical construction, retrofit, and infrastructure projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, public-sector, and other facility environments.

This role is responsible for coordinating contractors, schedules, site activities, and project documentation to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within scope. The Construction Manager will serve as a key liaison between clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams while managing day-to-day field execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate field execution of mechanical and infrastructure construction projects to achieve scope, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Manage project schedules, site logistics, contractor activities, and short-term work plans to maintain project progress and milestone completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, facility teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate installation and construction activities involving HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, piping, controls, equipment replacements, and related mechanical infrastructure.
  • Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, RFIs, submittals, and change documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Monitor project status, contractor performance, schedule impacts, risks, and open issues while providing updates and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation including schedules, meeting notes, field reports, action logs, and closeout documentation.
  • Identify and address safety, quality, constructability, and coordination issues in the field.
  • Support change order management, project controls, and project financial reporting by tracking field changes and contractor impacts.
Qualifications Required
  • 3–7 years of experience in construction management, mechanical construction, field project coordination, facilities construction, or a related role.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, piping, controls, and equipment replacement projects.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, site schedules, field activities, and construction documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting mechanical retrofit projects in commercial, industrial, healthcare, transit, or public-sector facilities.
  • Experience working in occupied or active operating environments.
  • Degree, coursework, or certification in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with project management or construction management software.
