PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide safe and effective patient care. This rank is reserved for distinguished faculty members in recognition of distinctive local, regional, and national achievements. Demonstrate outstanding contributions to clinical service.
Actively contributes to advancing residents' training and education, fellows, and other trainees.
Demonstrates a commitment to clinical scholarship through participation in advanced scholarly activities, including clinical research and publication.
Serves in a leadership role in the service/administrative activities of the Department/Division.
Qualifications Education/Experience
Professor
:
• M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
• Current active medical license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for medical license.
• Appropriate medical and payor credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices
• Completion of all required pre-employment activities.
• Professor appointment or eligibility required.
• Generally, requires at least five years of service at the Associate Professor rank.
Preferred:
• Board certification
Associate Professor:
• Medical Degree (MD/DO) or their equivalent.
• Current active medical license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for license.
• Appropriate medical credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices.
• Completion of all required pre-employment activities.
• Associate Professor appointment or eligibility required.
• Generally, it requires at least five years of service at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Preferred:
• Board certification
Assistant Professor:
• Medical Degree (MD/DO) or their equivalent.
• Current active medical license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for license.
• Appropriate medical credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices.
• Completion of all required pre-employment activities.
• Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility required.
• Board eligibility or Board certification in Pediatric Cardiology
