Overview
All Saints School, a diocesan school in the Diocese of Bridgeport, Connecticut seeks an accomplished, faith-filled educator to serve as Principal, a senior leadership role within a Catholic school governed by a Head of School model. In this model, the Head of School reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools. The Principal reports directly to the Head of School, serves as a member of the school’s Executive Administration, and works in close partnership with parents, faculty, and diocesan staff to ensure a cohesive, mission-aligned educational experience across all divisions.
Rooted in the mission of the Catholic Church, the Principal plays a vital role in advancing academic excellence, spiritual formation, and the holistic development of students from Early Childhood through Grade 8.

Position Overview
The Principal provides day-to-day academic and instructional leadership for the school and has direct supervisory responsibility for the Lead Teachers in the following divisions:
- Early Childhood Center (PreK 3 and
4) - Lower School (K-4)
- Upper School (5-8)
Through these leaders, the Principal ensures consistency, alignment, and high standards across all divisions while honoring the developmental needs of each stage of learning. The Principal is both a strategic leader and relational presence, balancing instructional oversight with pastoral care for students, faculty, and families.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic and Instructional Leadership
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a rigorous, mission-aligned curriculum across all divisions of the school.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Lead Teachers, fostering professional growth and instructional excellence.
- Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum from Early Childhood through Grade 8.
- Promote the use of data-informed practices to support student achievement and instructional improvement.
Faculty Leadership and Collaboration
- Cultivate a professional culture rooted in trust, accountability, collaboration, and shared mission.
- Partner with the Head of School on faculty hiring, evaluation, retention, and professional development.
- Support Lead Teachers in coaching faculty and address instructional or performance concerns.
- Promote faculty formation in Catholic identity and effective pedagogy.
Student Formation and Well-Being
- Oversee student life, discipline, and pastoral care in a manner consistent with Catholic values and teachings.
- Partner with faculty and parents to support the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth of each child.
- Ensure that student policies and practices reflect dignity, justice, and mercy.
Partnership with Parents
- Serve as a collaborative partner with parents, recognizing families as the primary educators of their children.
- Communicate clearly, compassionately, and proactively with parents regarding academic programs, student support, and school culture.
- Foster a strong sense of community marked by mutual respect and shared responsibility for student formation.
Executive Leadership and Governance
The Principal serves as a member of the Head of School’s Administrative Team, collaborating closely with senior leaders, including:
- Chief Financial Officer
- Office Operations Manager
- Advancement Director
- Enrollment Management Director
- Social and Emotional Learning Counselor
