The Recruitment & Outreach Specialist performs a full range of operations and tasks in support of enrollment efforts at CT State Community College. The position is the primary point of contact for students from inquiry to enrollment and for external partners such as high school and adult education administrators, principals, counselors, and other community partners. The Specialist monitors student progress in the enrollment pipeline, conducts continued outreach, and provides resources and referrals to support students through the enrollment process from prospect to matriculation.

- Service on assigned committees and task forces
- Attendance and participation at committee, staff, informational and professional meetings which may occur during evenings and weekends.
Bachelor's degree in an appropriately related field together with one (1) or more years of related experience; or a combination of education, training, and experience which would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position’s essential duties.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities- Demonstrated skills and abilities in office administration including competence in use of personal computers with word processing and spreadsheet software applications as well as college databases and processing programs.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and interact favorably with students, parents, school officials and others in academic environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge and competence in advising students and applicants regarding academic courses appropriate for their preparation and career goals.
- Demonstrated understanding of undergraduate academic enrollment requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and within a team setting.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Two (2) years or more experience in K-12/higher education admissions.
- Experience supporting recruitment and outreach efforts through off-campus visits, high school visits, college fairs, enrollment events, etc.
- Experience facilitating information workshops, presentations, etc. to varying audience sizes.
