Position Summary

The College is seeking part-time non-credit lecturers who are passionate about inspiring and educating the next generation of Language learners and professionals

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director or designee, the non‑credit lecturer is accountable for the effective performance in these essential duties:

  • Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
  • Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
  • Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
  • Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, English/Composition, Linguistics, Foreign Language, or Education.
  • Two (2) years of teaching college level ESL courses.
  • Prior experience in course work for adult education certification in ESL or Certificate in TESOL.
  • Ability to present curriculum in a classroom or lab environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Additional qualifications may be requested, as relevant to the academic department.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, Foreign Language, and two years of teaching ESL at the college/adult level.
  • Master’s in Education with a focus on TESOL, secondary education, or adult education and two years of teaching ESL at the college/adult level.
  • Experience teaching in workforce development, adult education, continuing education, or non‑credit training programs, particularly in short‑term certificate or credential‑aligned programs.
  • Experience designing or delivering customized training programs (onsite, online, or hybrid).
  • Knowledge of the current industry trends and workforce needs.
Salary
  • Commensurate with specific course, location & demand.
