Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Norwalk, CT. The role delivers specialized instruction and IEP implementation for students with exceptionalities, while collaborating with school staff to create safe, positive learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver specialized instruction to students with exceptionalities
- Implement individualized education programs and collaborate with educators
- Manage classroom environments to ensure safety and promote positive behavior
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
- CT Special Education Teacher license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in special education
- Familiarity with self-contained, ASD, and externalizing behavior programs such as ED and ADHD
- Availability for in-person, day-shift, full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week)
- Successful background check compliance
- Patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills
- Weekly direct deposit at rates 13% above market average
