Position Summary:
The Norwalk Public Schools District seeks a dedicated and experienced part‑time Administrator to oversee the operational and student management aspects of the Future Ready PM Program. This role serves as a crucial continuation of the daily program and requires close collaboration with the full‑time Education Administrator of Future Ready. The Administrator will ensure the programs meet their mission to re‑engage students and provide pathways to graduation and career readiness within the non‑traditional learning schedule.
Work Schedule:
Monday Thursday
, part‑time hours, specifically covering the 4:00 PM 7:00 PM operational window. Instructional and Program Management:
Program & Staff Oversight
- Work in partnership with the Education Administrator of Future Ready Programs, Student Data, and Re‑Engagement to ensure program alignment and seamless transition between the AM and PM operations.
- Supervise all teachers, counselors, and support personnel on duty within the PM Cohort of the Future Ready Program.
- Monitor instruction and learning to maintain curriculum standards for the PM academic sessions.
- Support students and staff timely implementation of the schedule and efficient use of resources during the 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM window.
Student Engagement & Support
- Support student progress, attendance, and outcomes for alignment with graduation and post‑secondary goals.
- Support the coordination of shared services, including Social‑Emotional Learning (SEL) support, and transportation, particularly during program closing hours.
Required Qualifications
- Active Connecticut Supervision (092) Certification and teaching certification.
- Master's degree in education, administration, or a related field.
- Successful experience in educational leadership and program management.
- Expertise in SEL facilitation
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse school district and community.
Days: Monday Friday (40 hours per week)
Union: NASA
Work Year: 12 Months/52 weeks
This position follows a 186‑day work calendar. This position is compensated based on an hourly equivalent of the annual salary. The hourly rate is calculated by dividing the annual salary by 186 workdays and 8 hours per day
