Description
Operates Cogeneration plant and related equipment. Accountable and responsible for the timely completion of work order assignments and preventative maintenance. Assists the Supervisor or Director in the planning, coordination, and execution of all duties related to the hospital, and all other work as assigned.
Responsibilities- Systems Operations Criteria A:
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of systems - Gas Turbine Skid, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Auxiliary Boilers, Nox Water Skid, Boiler Feed Water System, and Continuous Emissions Monitoring System. Systems Operations Criteria B:
Executes PM tasks correctly and efficiently. Systems Operations Criteria C:
Anticipates potential problems and takes action. Systems Operations Criteria D:
Develops insights for more efficient operation. Servicing, repairing, adjusting and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operates primarily, but not limited to, on the basis of mechanical principles. - Administration Criteria A:
Performing day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Administration Criteria B:
Documenting/Recording information; entering transcribing, recording, storing or maintaining information in writing or electronic form using computers and computer systems. Administration Criteria C:
Evaluating information to determine compliance with standards using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards. Administration Criteria D:
Scheduling, overseeing, and assisting in all contracted work in the Power Plant. - Chemistry Criteria A:
Demonstrates competency in chemical treatment. Chemistry Criteria B:
Recognizes and reports changes in chemistry. Chemistry Criteria C:
Handles testing and transportation safely. Chemistry Criteria D:
Follows instructions thoroughly and accurately. - Safety Procedures Criteria A:
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of ladder safety. Safety Procedures Criteria B:
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of electrical safety. Safety Procedures Criteria C:
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of "lock-out-tag-out" procedures. Safety Procedures Criteria D:
Anticipates unsafe situations or conditions and takes preventative actions. - Performs other duties as assigned.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Required:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of experience. Thorough knowledge of plant systems and sub-systems. Boiler plant and machinery operating experience. - Must be able to climb ladders.
Education:
HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
Minimum Experience:
four years
Desired: OE2, S1, or S2 license required.
Working ConditionsManual: significant manual skills/motor coordination & finger dexterity.
Occupational:
Significant occupational risk.
Physical Effort:
Very heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force.
Physical Environment:
Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
