Role Description

Arcadis is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support large, complex construction projects for a confidential semiconductor client in Connecticut. This role will lead multi‑million‑dollar basebuild projects, including clean rooms, support facilities, and high‑tech manufacturing spaces, ensuring successful delivery from feasibility through commissioning. The Construction Project Manager plans, organizes, and coordinates all architectural, engineering, and construction activities for assigned projects. This includes managing multi‑disciplinary project teams, interfacing with clients and vendors, and overseeing project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience in high‑tech manufacturing environments such as semiconductor, biotech, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical facilities, with strong expertise in basebuild construction and site logistics.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of semiconductor basebuild projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.
  • Develop project execution plans, including resource allocation, risk management, communication strategies, and schedule management.
  • Coordinate and manage multi‑disciplinary project teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor selection, performance, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the regional quality manager to develop project‑specific quality plans.
  • Support commissioning, start‑up, and handover of facilities, coordinating with tools installation and operational teams.
  • Monitor project risks and elevate issues to senior leadership as appropriate.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and dashboards for clients and senior leadership.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and provide guidance on technical resource loading for complex projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5–10+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in semiconductor or other high‑tech industrial facilities.
  • Proven track record in managing all phases of projects, from feasibility through procurement, execution, commissioning, and close‑out.
  • Experience with basebuild construction, cleanroom facilities, and industrial process utilities (HVAC, ultra‑pure water, chemical delivery).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and document control systems.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work independently, under pressure, and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
